Beta Analyst
Location: Minnetonka, Minnesota
Summary:
The Beta Analyst is responsible for supporting customers with troubleshooting and training during the Beta test validation of new PeopleNet products and features, ensuring both commercial release quality and Beta customer satisfaction. The qualified candidate will have strong analysis and problem solving skills with customer service experience. The ability to work both independently and as a team is essential, as well as the ability to maintain stability in a high paced and fast changing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key for finding success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive and reactive troubleshooting support to Beta test customers via phone and e-mail.
- Research and document root-cause of all software and hardware issues.
- Escalate to Quality Assurance and Development all potential code or hardware defects found during the Beta test
- Document and communicate customer feedback on Beta features to necessary cross-functional teams.
- Develop customer facing Beta test documentation
- Develop internal Beta release documentation
- Participate as a Beta team representative on a cross-functional release management team.
- Participate in functional requirements gathering on new or proposed features and products.
- Assist with developing Beta test plans.
- Manage customer/unit/code expansion before and during the Beta tests.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on a product and be able to perform advanced troubleshooting for other products.
- Position may require occasional evening or weekend hours, but primary workload involves standard business hours during the work week (8-5).
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a technology related field.
- 2+ years of Customer Support and/or Help Desk experience.
- 1-2 years of experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software.
- Demonstrated problem solving and resolution analysis abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in a close-knit team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- 1+ years of experience working directly with the PeopleNet system.
- Experience working in the Transportation industry.
- Experience working in Mobile Communications or Wireless Communications.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Internal and external customer training skills.
